Educational Qualification
Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V)
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII)
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed
- Post-Graduation with 55% marks + Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year BA/BSc.Ed
- Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
Important Note:
Minimum graduation marks criteria will not apply to candidates who took admission in B.Ed or B.El.Ed before 29 July 2011.
Relaxation Under Assam Career 2026
- 5% relaxation in academic marks for SC / ST / OBC / MOBC / PWD candidates
- For PWD (PH) candidates, minimum 40% disability certified by a competent authority is mandatory
