The Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has announced the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste (SC) students for the academic year 2025-26. This flagship scholarship program is aimed at providing financial assistance to SC students pursuing higher education, ensuring that economic constraints do not become a barrier in accessing quality education.

Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible:
- Annual Income Limit: Parents’/Guardians’ total annual income should not exceed ₹2.50 lakh.
- Academic Requirement: Applicant must be pursuing courses in recognized schools, colleges, universities, or technical institutions across India.
- Category: Only students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category are eligible to apply.
Scope of the Scholarship
The Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2025-26 covers a wide range of courses and ensures maximum inclusion:
- Applicable to all recognized courses from Class XI onwards, including professional, technical, and higher education programs.
- Applications will be verified and approved by the respective State Government/Union Territory administrations.

Scholarship Benefits & Entitlements
Selected candidates will be entitled to the following benefits:
- Full reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees (including tuition fee, registration fee, etc.).
- Academic Allowance: Ranging from ₹2,500 to ₹13,500 per annum, depending on the course and level of study.
- Divyang (PwD) Students: Eligible students with disabilities will receive an additional 10% allowance to support their academic journey.
