Singapore/Assam, Sept 19 – In a shocking development, celebrated Assamese singer Zubeen Garg has passed away after a tragic accident in Singapore.

According to reports, the singer was involved in a paragliding mishap on September 19, during which he reportedly fell into the sea. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but could not be saved.

Zubeen had travelled to Singapore to participate in the North East Festival, but the unfortunate incident occurred before the event could begin.

The news of his untimely demise has left fans across Assam and the North East in deep mourning, marking a dark day for the region’s cultural fraternity.
