The Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) invites online applications from eligible local candidates for recruitment to 61 posts of Assistant Professors under the Education Department, Government of Sikkim. The recruitment will be conducted through Direct Recruitment on a temporary-regular basis, and selected candidates will be placed in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (UGC norms).

Eligibility Criteria for Sikkim PSC
Educational Qualification:

Master’s Degree in relevant/concerned/allied subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale) from a recognized Indian university or an accredited foreign university.
Other Requirements:

Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar UGC-accredited test like SLET/SET,
OR
Hold a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with UGC Ph.D. Regulations (2009/2016/2022) and amendments. -
Candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11th July 2009 must meet certain additional criteria to be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Valid Local Employment Card issued by Government of Sikkim.

No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer (if employed).

Marital Status Certificate (for female candidates); if married, submit husband’s COI/SSC.
