The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has officially opened applications for the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the 2025–2027 academic session.
If you’re planning to apply, the first step is to register for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2025, which is mandatory for admission into the D.El.Ed. program.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Residency: You must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Education: Minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent from a recognized board (excluding optional/extra subjects).
SC/ST/ST(H) candidates get 5% relaxation (minimum 45%).
Age Limit: Must be between 18 to 34 years as of July 1, 2025.
SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates get 2 years’ relaxation.
Reservation: Follows Government norms for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD.
Application Fee: ₹600 (non-refundable), payable online.

🎟️ Admit Card & Exam Venue
Admit cards will be available from July 5, 2025 on the official website.
Use your Application Number and Date of Birth to download it.
The PET exam will be conducted in the district you choose during the application.
If selected, your admission will be to a TEI within the same district.

Duration: 2 hours
Total Marks: 100
Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Marking: +1 for each correct, -0.25 for each wrong answer
